PRACTITIONER’S PRACTICUUM

 

A year long, mentoring study with

 Linda Lehtonen B.A., M.Ed.

 

About this program: 

This study, offered over one year, is an opportunity for professionals and leaders, who work with people in organizations, to come together in community to grow both personally and professionally. Often, people in leadership roles, human resources and organization development do not have an unbiased support system to help them address the tougher issues in their workplaces, nor to help them move through their own issues in addressing organizational needs.  This program is designed to help build insight, courage, wisdom, relationships, and a greater understanding and skill in how to influence organizations and individuals to grow, to become more productive, healthy and whole, all from a place of grace and ease.

¨      The Dependent vs. Entrepreneurial Organization

-           Understand the behaviors of the dependent vs. entrepreneurial cultures

-           Understand your own internal culture and where you fit within your organization

¨       Discovering Your Soul Purpose and Values Congruency Learn to separate values from styles differences and align your values with your actions and live your purpose.

¨      Personal Growth – Getting Out of Our Own Way

-           Understand how you get in your own way and remove the blocks that stop you from   being your most powerful self; understand your defensive patterns and change them.

¨       Working with Your Energy – Learn how to stay filled up so you can better serve others.

-    Create talking circles in your organizations; learn the simple tried and true basics of facilitation to build community and get solutions to both business and interpersonal issues.

-           Keep yourself balanced – challenge vs. busywork; vitality vs. exhaustion

-           Diplomatically choose the ‘right’ path in compromising situations and from your code of honour.

¨       Self As Instrument – Keep yourself finely tuned; be the change you wish to see in the world by understanding your shadow and fears.

¨       Develop Your Intuitive skills – use your intuition as a fail proof way to make good decisions.

Format: 6 days in community, 6 hours of coaching.

The practicum will run over one year with the community gathering approximately every two months for one day in Kitchener.  The day will begin with some content input from Linda Lehtonen, based on her thirty years experience as an organizational consultant, coach and counselor and healer and then be open to discussion and experiential work in dealing with ‘real time’ organizational and personal challenges. Sessions will also be designed based on participant input. Linda will also offer individual, personal coaching sessions to each participant throughout the year, by appointment, either in person or by telephone for a total of six hours.

About Linda Lehtonen:

Linda has worked as an internal and external trainer, counselor, human resource specialist and consultant, coach, and healer for 30 years.  She brings a unique combination of organizational systems knowledge, masterful facilitation, intuitive consulting and personal coaching and counseling to her practice. She believes that transformational change is most powerful when individuals explore their learning and increase their consciousness in community.  Her work has been described as both validating and life changing.  At the core of her work, her purpose is to help individuals access their belief in themselves. She works from a place of profound respect for the individual, authenticity, humility and love and using self as the instrument of change.
